What is the ACU?

The Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) is the official national governing body of motorcycle sport in the UK – and the permitting body for the Enduro GB series.

It is responsible for ensuring the professional and safe running of more than 4,000 events per year and for providing the competitive framework that supports a diverse community of 23,000 competition licence holders.

The ACU is based in Rugby, Warwickshire and is made up of 550 member clubs which are operated by an army of 3,000 volunteer officials and marshals.

The ACU administers all forms of motorcycle sport at national and grassroot levels, as well as organising world-class events across MotoGP, World Superbikes, Motocross and Road Racing – including the world-famous Isle of Man TT Races.

With roots that date back to 1903, the ACU is a founding member of the motorcycle Sport’s world governing body, the Federation Internationale Motocyclisme (FIM).
